Three Tips for Maximizing Your Conference Experience

Posted by Barbara McDonald on October 19th 2007

1. Picked out your must-attend workshops yet?  Each set of workshops has more than ten to choose from.  Plan ahead and identify your must-attend picks. Workshop seating is on a first come first sit basis. How to pick your must-attends in the Conference Program?  Select by tracks from the At a Glance starting on page 43 or try the topical index starting on page 92 to view them by content areas.

2. What’s the best way to meet new colleagues?
Attend a workshop sponsored by one of PRSA’s Professional Interest Sections and scope out other attendees.  Stop by the Sections Lounge (Room 404). Then meet up again at the section-sponsored networking dinner on Monday evening – be sure to purchase your tickets at registration when you arrive.  New to conference? Connect with other newbies at the Newcomers Orientation Sunday from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. in Meeting Room 2.
3. What’s new?  Ask the leading providers of products and services showcased in our Exhibition Hall while filling up on free coffee. Refuel Tuesday morning with a complimentary breakfast while you explore the latest solutions on the market. Feeling lucky? Every time you visit the Exhibition Hall you have the chance to win a full registration to the 2008 International Conference in Detroit.
